I'm Eric

My identity as a designer has been shaped by the growth mindset I've had to develop as a queer creative making their way thorugh the world. Where I was once self-conscious, I have developed a tremendous sense of conscientiousness and empathy. My style both stretches the limits of possibility while making meaningful connections with the story I’m trying to tell. 

Stepping into my own power did not come easily. I spent many years living for other people's approval and fearing their judgement. When I first came out, I was bullied for being gay. While that was very painful for me at the time, the experience inspired me to move to San Francisco where I found a community I felt a part of. My eyes were opened by the stunning diversity and acceptance of it, the boundlessness of gender identity and the history and beauty found in the architecture. It was through being immersed in this place that I found my own colorful sense of self and a rich family history that would launch me into creating art of my own.
